RC Calimag has left University of the Philippines to come home to San Beda.
The 6-foot-3 shooter has bared the development as he transfers to Mendiola after two seasons with the Fighting Maroons.

"Nakapagpaalam po ako ng maayos kila coach Goldwin [Monteverde] at coach Bo [Perasol] and I told them of my plans," said the son of former PBA player Ricky Calimag on Sunday.
Calimag, 21, was sparingly used this past UAAP Season 85, posting 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds after a solid showing in the preseason.
After two years in UP, he will undergo a redshirt year and will be cleared to play for San Beda in NCAA Season 100.
Despite this, he is confident that he can contribute to the Red Lions' cause.
"Sinabi sa akin nila coach Yuri [Escueta] that we need you dahil wala nang ibang wings pagdating ko. Alam nila yung kaya kong gawin," he said.
Escueta is just as pumped to acquire Calimag, saying, "Having a talent like RC would be a boost to our program."
"RC coming from a winning program like UP and what I’m hearing about his dedication to his craft and great attitude, he would be a big part of what we are trying to build in San Beda."
This also serves as a homecoming of sorts for Calimag, who studied in San Beda from Grade 6 to 10 before moving to La Salle Greenhills.
"Alam nila yung kaya kong gawin at mas magaan ang feeling ko. Kumbaga, ang sarap bumalik sa pinanggalingan mo," he said.
