IT seems injuries have become part and parcel of Kyt Jimenez’s playing career.

The flamboyant guard formerly of San Miguel is currently recuperating from a dislocated ankle he suffered during Sarangani’s game against Quezon City in the MPBL 2025 Season right on the day he turned 28 last March 21.

Jimenez twisted his left ankle while trying to go for a steal early in the second quarter and his side trailing, 22-8.

He was later stretchered out of the court and has since been doing his rehabilitation.

Jimenez, who won a championship with San Miguel during the 2023 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, said it was only himself who managed to pop the ankle back to its normal alignment.

“Ako lang mismo ang nagbalik,” he shared to SPIN.ph. “Na-dislocate siya nung natapilok ako sa game.”

Good thing he has the presence of mind to have the ankle popped back to its right alignment.

“Buti nga naibalik ko. If hindi, sabi ng doctor mahihirapan ako and baka mas matagalan pa ang recovery ko,” he added.

Sarangani eventually lost to Quezon City, 84-76.

The injury was just the latest to hound the former YouTube sensation and Mavs Phenomenal Basketball player.

At San Miguel, Jimenez went down with a fractured eye socked near the nasal bone right in his very first game in the PBA opposite Meralco. The injury kept him out for more than a month.

Not long after recovering from the eye injury, Jimenez was again grounded for two months following a freak accident while having an ice bath at home, resulting in a huge cut on his right forearm that required 19 stitches to close.

Now, he expects to be out three more weeks while recovering from the ankle injury.

“Ongoing naman yung therapy, although medyo maga pa siya at may pain pa rin,” Jimenez disclosed.

“Hopefully, this (April) 22 or 29 makalaro na ulit ako.”

He better be as Sarangani is currently at the bottom of the South Division with a 0-6 record.
