JHAN Nermal has been picked up by Pampanga Giant Lanterns in their bid for a third straight MPBL crown.
Nermal is returning to the regional league at the end of his stint with Converge in the PBA Philippine Cup as part of the Giant Lanterns' new recruits.

Incidentally, Pampanga vice governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda is involved in both squads as he also serves as an assistant coach for the FiberXers.
Nermal previously played for Bacoor in 2023. He made it to the PBA through NLEX before signing with Converge last April where he played nine games and averaged 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds.

He joins PBA players Alvin Pasaol and CJ Payawal in the 22-man roster of the Giant Lanterns for the 2025 season as they go for a three-peat in the MPBL.
The Giant Lanterns previously listed Raffy Verano, although his agent Marvin Espiritu later clarified that he is still under contract with PBA club Phoenix.
