    Kobe Paras makes first NCAA basket as Creighton Bluejays rout Washington State to stay unbeaten

    KOBE Paras made his first basket in the NCAA as the Creighton Bluejays remained unbeaten with a 103-74 rout of the Washington State Cougars on Friday (Saturday, Manila time).

    The Filipino forward finally made his first field goal in two appearances for the Bluejays, holding his nerve as he missed his first attempts in the Paradise Jam Tournament.

    The 6-foot-7 Paras hit a jumper in the second half that stretched the Bluejays lead to 30 points, 85-55.

    Paras wound up with three points on 1 of 8 shooting for the Bluejays, who have scored three wins in as many outings.

    Cole Huff led Creighton with 19 points, while Marcus Foster added 16.

    Zach Hanson came off the bench to score nine for the Bluejays.

    It was the first loss in three games for the Cougars, who got 29 points from Conor Clifford.
