TAB Baldwin responded to the support of his Ateneo players on social media with a #BEBOB post of his own on Thursday.
Netizens were able to spot an Instagram story post by Baldwin that also contained the words: “We few. We happy few. We Band of Brothers. For He today that sheds his blood for me shall be my brother. #BEBOB.”

The post is seen as a response to his Ateneo players rallying behind him after the national federation's president Al Panlilio put the blame on the American-New Zealader for the current situation of Gilas Pilipinas.
On Wednesday night, Ateneo players led by SJ Belangel and Thirdy Ravena, two players who were part of the Gilas Pilipinas team in the Fiba Asia Cup, hinting their support to Baldwin through the #BEBOB or the Blue Eagle Band of Brothers, a battlecry coined by Baldwin during their 2017 run to the championship.
In a recent interview on SEAG Live, SBP president Al Panlilio claimed that Baldwin opted to honor his commitment with Ateneo as head coach instead of the national team during the February window.
SBP has since replaced Baldwin with Chot Reyes, who has taken the brunt of the controversies following disappointing results in the Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi and the Fiba Asia Cup in Jakarta.
