STUDENTS and teachers may now avail tickets for select 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup prelims matches in the Philippines until Sep. 2 with a 50 percent discount.
The marked down ticket rates for students and teachers will also take effect for the opening ceremony and Gilas Pilipinas' tournament opener against Dominican Republic on Aug. 25.

In a video announcement by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) chairperson Popoy De Vera on Thursday, members of the Filipino education sector were encouraged to watch the global showpiece live.
"Iniimbitahan ko ang lahat ng mga estudyante, mga guro, at mga kawani sa lahat ng pamantasan sa buong Pilipinas na manood ng Fiba World Cup 2023 na gaganapin sa Philippine Arena sa Bocaue, Bulacan," the CHED chair said.
"Kayo po ay makakatanggap ng 50% discount kapag kayo ay bumili ng tiket. Mangyari lamang na ipakita ang inyong valid ID sa ticketing area para makakuha ng discount," he added.
Interested spectators must present either a valid school ID or a Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID at an official World Cup ticket outlet or ticketing site to be eligible for the discount.
