NO reserves will be named in the final Gilas Pilipinas roster for the FIBA World Cup.
Teams are only allowed to name a final 12-man lineup, which meant four players will be cut from the 16 that were named leading to final week of the quadrennial showcase.

Unlike in the Southeast Asian Games or even FIBA Asia Cup where reserves are allowed, such things are not part of the World Cup arrangements.
"There are no reserves with FIBA. Only a 12-man lineup will be submitted," said team manager Butch Antonio.
Gilas Pilipinas held an open practice at the Philsports Arena Tuesday night, with Thirdy Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks, and Calvin Oftana not around.
Parks and Ravena no longer suited up in the three friendlies Gilas played against Ivory Coast, Montenegro, and Mexico.
Oftana played against Montenegro and was in the line-up for the game versus Mexico but wasn't fielded in.

Going by what coach Chot Reyes had on the eve of naming the final 12-man team, only one remaining player will be cut ahead of the World Cup.
But a team insider disclosed to Spin.ph that those to be cut will be strongly considered as part of the roster for the Asian Games.
As it is, naturalized player Justin Brownlee is the only sure member of the Asiad team after stepping aside for Jordan Clarkson in the World Cup lineup.
