GILAS Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes has yet to reveal his Final 12 for the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup on Tuesday, but it appears that the pool is down to 13 players.

Jordan Clarkson led the attendees in Gilas practice on Tuesday night in the only time that training was finally opened to the media at the Philsports Arena.
Also in attendance were Kai Sotto, Dwight Ramos, Scottie Thompson, June Mar Fajardo, Jamie Malonzo, Japeth Aguilar, Rhenz Abando, Roger Pogoy, AJ Edu, CJ Perez, Kiefer Ravena, and Chris Newsome.
Bobby Ray Parks, Calvin Oftana, and Thirdy Ravena were not present in the Tuesday’s practice.
Reyes declined to discuss the Final 12 when asked by reporters after practice.

“It’s going to be submitted on the technical meeting tomorrow. It will be submitted tomorrow,” said Reyes.
When told that only 13 players attended Tuesday’s practice, Reyes played it coy, saying: “Thirteen ba? Basta we will submit in the technical meeting tomorrow.”
Reyes said the decision on the final roster will be based on who fits the team’s style of play the most.
“More than anything, I guess, really the players who we feel that will give us the best chance to pull off,” said Reyes.
Gilas Pilipinas is down to the final days of their build-up for their first game against Dominican Republic on Friday at the Philippine Arena.
Reyes said Gilas Pilipinas will still be fine-tuning in the remaining days before the Dominican Republic game.
“Any coach that you will ask, anyone here will say that they are ready. We always fear that there is always something more that needs to be done. Same thing with us. No matter how many practices we’ve had, the tune-up games, we still (feel) that there’s something more that could be done,” said Reyes.
