CHICAGO -- Kai Sotto is flying home.
"He is going to Manila for rest right now. He's been non-stop for the last year, Tony Ronzone of Wasserman Sports told SPIN.ph this Monday morning.

"No idea when the family is going back. Tomorrow or next day sometime," added Ronzone, who pulled more strings than a guitarist in order for Kai to enter three NBA camps and get an invite in the Summer League.
What is also unclear is the confirmation that the 7-foot-3 big will report to Gilas training camp on July 18 as previously announced by head coach Chot Reyes,
Ronzone was non-committal about the topic and took a similar tone Sotto did when he faced reporters on Sunday, Manila time at the conclusion of his Summer League journey with the Orlando Magic.
"Right now let's give the kid a break for a few days then we will figure out the next plan. Again, he's learned a lot. Made Summer League, played well in first action. Only 21."
As it pertains to the "low back pain" that forced Kai to make a hasty exit against the Boston Celtics, Ronzone assures everyone that it was simply a case of back spasms.
"Unless there's something else we don't know about, he's good. Just needs rest," Ronzone elaborated.
