CJ PEREZ isn’t the only San Miguel player who will play in Fiba’s November window.
Jericho Cruz will once again see action overseas for this month’s window but he will once again don ther Guam uniform in the Fiba Asia Cup 2025 pre-qualifiers which starts on Thursday in Bangalore, India.
The San Miguel cager has joined the Guam squad again for this Fiba window as he looks to guide the side to a spot in the Fiba Asia Cup 2025 qualifiers.
Cruz got the opportunity to play for Guam as San Miguel is also on a break with Perez one of the players for Gilas Pilipinas in the Fiba Basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers against Jordan on Friday at midnight and Saudi Arabia on November 13.
The pre-qualifiers will see lower ranked teams vie for four spots in the qualifiers. There are four groups with the top three squads advancing to the second and final round to determine the four squads who will advance.
Guam will face Singapore on Thursday before capping off the window with a match-up against Hong Kong on Friday in Group C. With only three teams, Guam, Singapore, and Hong Kong will advance to the second round.
Cruz is eligible to play for Guam having grown up there even though he was born in the Philippines. He had already played for the country when he was still with NLEX during the Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers in 2021.
Cruz played for three games and averaged 16 points, four rebounds, and 4.7 assists for the team.
