    Erram, Parks, Thirdy added to Gilas squad for Fiba Asia Cup

    THIRDY Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks, and Poy Erram will beef up Gilas Pilipinas for the 2022 Fiba Asia Cup.

    The Japan B.League imports and the TNT Tropang Giga center reinforce the young national team as it battles New Zealand, India, and Lebanon in Group D of the continental cup which opens next week.

    Coach Chot Reyes also returns to call the shots in the July 12 to 24 tilt in Indonesia.

    Gilas will parade an intact core from the third window of the 2023 Fiba World Cup Asian qualifiers, with Dwight Ramos and Kiefer Ravena leading the charge.

    Completing the roster are Carl Tamayo, Geo Chiu, Kevin Quiambao, SJ Belangel, RJ Abarrientos, William Navarro, and Francis ‘Lebron’ Lopez.


      Only Rhenz Abando was scratched off the roster with the NCAA Rookie MVP from Letran being relegated to a reserve.

      Ravena reunites with his brother Kiefer after last seeing action for Gilas in the second window last February.

      This also marks Parks' return to national team duty after last suiting up in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur.

      Erram, meanwhile, is the lone PBA callup as the big man shores up a sorely depleted frontline with Gilas playing without naturalized center Ange Kouame.
