OPING Sumalinog has been given the green light by the PBA to suit up for Cignal in the D-League Foundation Cup.
Sumalinog's D-League stint was put on hold due to a live contract with TnT Katropa, but the issue was resolved late Wednesday, according to team manager Borgie Hermida.
His clearance came just in time for the Hawkeyes' conference-opener against the Jeron Teng-led Flying V on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
"Okay na si Oping, napayagan na siya," Hermida said in a text message.

On-loan from TnT Katropa, the former Ateneo standout reinforces a squad looking to score back-to-back titles this season.
He will play alongside Jason Perkins, Pamboy Raymundo, Raymar Jose, and another late addition, Simon Atkins.
