AKIL Mitchell is good to go for Meralco as it takes on Busan KCC Egis in an EASL rematch on Wednesday at the Busan Sajik gymnasium in South Korea.
The import has been given the go-signal to play in the 7:10 p.m. match after recently undergoing surgery for his broken nose.
Coach Luigi Trillo said Mitchell practiced with the team for the first time since suffering the injury during the Bolts’ game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

“He’s fine. Took out the stuff on his nose this morning,” said Trillo of the 32-year-old import.
Mitchell wore a bandage on the injured nose as he watched haplessly from the sidelines during the Bolts’ 114-98 loss to Blackwater in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Mitchell's return is a welcome one for a Meralco side that continues to miss out on injured players Raymund Almazan, Chris Banchero, Allein Maliksi, Jolo Mendoza, and rookie CJ Cansino.
Mitchell, who hit the game winner as Meralco edged Busan KCC at the Philsports Arena last month, 81-80, will team up anew with fellow import DJ Kennedy and naturalized player Ange Kouame.
Suiting up for the shorthanded Bolts side are Chris Newsome, Cliff Hodge, Anjo Caram, Aaron Black, Brandon Bates, Brandon Rios, Kyle Pascual, Norbert Torres, and Bong Quinto.
The Bolts are currently running second place in Group B with a 2-1 record.
Busan KCC Egis, the reigning Korean Basketball League champion, has yet to show a win in three games.
