EJ OBIENA matched his season best on his way to topping the Orlen Copernicus Cup in Poland on Tuesday.
Ben Broeders of Belguim placed third with 5.71, while Thiago Braz of Brazil finished third with 5.71.
EJ Obiena, gearing up for the World Indoor Championships, matches his season-best.
Obiena cleared 5.41 on the first try, but had some nervy moments when he registered 5.61 on his third and final attempt.
After getting 5.71, Obiena vaulted 5.81 on the final attempt, while his competitors fell short.
Aside from the different meets across Europe, Obiena is gearing up for World Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade from March 18 to 20.
