EJ OBIENA topped the Orlen Cup 2022 in Lodz, Poland after finally clearing 5.81 meters for his first title of the year.
Obiena posted his season best after several unsuccessful tries at the 5.81-mark during his first two competitions.
He beat Thiago Braz of Brazil and Piotr Lisek of Poland, who both cleared 5.71.
Seven pole vaulters competed in the competition.
In previous meets, Obiena registered 5.70 meters, finishing fourth and eighth respectively in the ISTAF Indoor Berlin and Beijer Pole Vault Gala.
Obiena’s next stop is in Lievin, France on Thursday where he will compete in the Meeting Hauts-De-France.
