IS Aiza in or out?
Confusion once again marred the formation of the Philippine women's volleyball team to the Southeast Asian Games when Aiza Maizo-Pontillas revealed she has been out of the lineup bound for Singapore next month.
The former Shakey's V-League MVP was part of the 12-woman lineup released by head coach Roger Gorayeb for a Philippine side making a comeback in the SEA Games after a long absence.
But late Friday night, Pontillas posted on her Twitter account that she went to the Blue Eagle gym in Ateneo to attend the national team's practice, only to be told that she has already been replaced.
“Hi everyone. Nag training po ako dun kanina sa ateneo. Hnd ko po alam na napalitan na po pala ako.” the Cagayan Valley opposite blocker in the V-League wrote on her social media account.

At posting time, Gorayeb was unavailable to make a comment.
It is not the first time that hasty changes were made to the lineup. On Tuesday night, Gorayeb said former La Salle skipper Aby Marano was pulled out of the lineup and was replaced by Ateneo rookie Bea de Leon.
Gorayeb said Marano’s cut was due to a conflict in the schedule of the middle blocker who was due to play for the national team in the Asian Seniors Women’s Championship on May 20-28 in China.
But on Thursday afternoon, the veteran mentor confirmed to Spin.ph that Marano is back in the roster.
It is not known if Pontillas was scratched from the lineup to make room for Marano.
The SEA Games bound team, which started practice on Monday, is, as of the latest revision, composed of Alyssa Valdez, Jaja Santiago, Rachel Anne Daquis, Marano, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Gretcel Soltones, Maika Ortiz, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Jia Morado, Rhea Dimaculangan and Denden Lazaro.
