ONE league done, but Aby Marano is on to another one.
The former La Salle star who helped lead Petron to a perfect run in the Super Liga All Filipino Conference is set to join the Philippine Team seeing action in the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore in June.
Despite still being committed to Meralco in the V-league and set to see action for the national team in the Asian Senior Women’s Championship, Marano has also committed to play in the SEA Games, according to national coach Roger Gorayeb.
On Wednesday, Gorayeb announced that Maraño was pulled out of the roster due to a conflict of schedule with her stint in the Asian Seniors team that will fly to China for the Asian Seniors Women's Championships on May 20-28.
But now he says the two-time UAAP MVP is back in his squad.
"Nakabalik na si Aby," Gorayeb said.
The SEAG bound team started practice on Monday at the Blue Eagle gym and only four players — Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, Rhea Dimaculangan and Maika Ortiz- attended the first training session.
Gorayeb assured that Maraño, a middle blocker from La Salle, will be present in the team practice on Friday.
"Mag-eensayo na siya bukas," said Gorayeb.
