ENGLAND football star Wayne Rooney found himself in the thick of the action in a recent WWE Raw event, slapping Wade Barrett in the face.
The star striker of Manchester United was sitting in the front row at ringside when he was approached by Sheamus and his sidekick 'Bad News' Barrett.
After some taunting from the wrestler, Rooney responded by whacking Barrett across the face.
The slap on Barrett caused a distraction, allowing Sheamus’ opponent Cesaro to win the match to advance in the tournament for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
