A GOLDEN opportunity is at stake for 20 wrestlers as Philippine Wrestling Revolution holds 'Path of Gold' on February 26 at the Unilab Bayanihan Center in Pasig.
After PWR: Bagong Yugto last month, PWR general manager Stan Sy said the winner out of the 20 wrestlers vying in the Path of Gold tournament gets a shot at either the PWR championship or the PHX championship at the third annual Wrevolution X on May.
Path of Gold begins with two competitors in the ring and a new entrant joins the fray every two minutes as wrestlers are eliminated by pinfall or submission. The last person standing gets an automatic shot to the title of his or her choosing.
Those titles will also be on the line at the same day as PWR champ John Sebastian defends his title against Jake de Leon and the Apocalypse in an 'All Out War' match.
Meanwhile, Peter Versoza defends his PHX title against former champion Main Maxx.
An interference by the Apocalypse during Sebastian and de Leon's title bout in Bagong Yugto paved the way for this colossal three-way where there will be virtually no rules.
Apocalypse first cost De Leon the PWR title before setting his sights on Sebastian after the match, signifying his intentions for the title.
Main Maxx, on the other hand, invoked his rematch clause as he saw his 280 day reign as the PHX champ was snapped by his former brother and ally in Versoza.
Tickets are at P350 each and will be on sale until February 25. It can be availed at PWR's partner establishments such as the Appraisery in Cubao Expo, Wingman at the Collective and Pauline's Printing at Pergola Mall. Ticket will be sold at P400 at the gate on match day.
