THE FIRST DAY of WrestleMania 41 produced one of the most shocking outcomes ever. From the previous weeks, Paul Heyman has been conflicted in supporting the two individuals he served well, namely CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
He even had an emotional reflection on the early days of CM Punk's career where he looked like a proud dad upon seeing his prized prodigy, who everyone once doubted, evolve into a WrestleMania main eventer. This also served as Punk's first WrestleMania main event bout.
And while the outcome could go in favor of CM Punk given the emotional storytelling, a sudden twist took place. Paul Heyman suddenly betrayed his former ECW prospect by giving him a low blow.
Roman Reigns initially looked thrilled to see Heyman stab Punk, and while it may seem like Heyman supported Reigns to slam the chair straight to Rollins out of revenge during their SHIELD days, Heyman suddenly repeated the same antics on Punk, only this time to the Tribal Chief.
Afterwards the legendary Hall of Fame manager gave the steel chair to Seth Rollins, giving him the victory.
Rollins' victory are clear signs that he could be the next Paul Heyman guy, and this could also serve as a new era where he could once again experience a massive push.
Did WWE make the right call for Jey Uso vs. Gunther?
Besides Seth Rollins, other WWE superstars took centerstage in the 1st Day of WrestleMania and among them is Jey Uso.
Being the underdog against Gunther, Uso was able to land frog splash after frog splash and finished everything with a submission move.
And while this victory would be a massive boost in his career, some fans have argued that the decision to have Gunther tap out was the wrong move.
Meanwhile there were others who defended WWE's decision.
WrestleMania 41 will continue on the next day, headlined by John Cena and Cody Rhodes.
