FROM THE TIME JOHN CENA, entered the WWE as the Doctor of Thuganomics, fans fell in love with him as he resonated well as a face who loves to diss his opponents with his insane rapping skills.
And even when the Doctor disappeared in favor of a more PG-oriented character, Cena was still an influential figure in professional wrestling.
But as John Cena entered Money In The Bank 2024, it seems 'The Time is Now,' for him to make one of the most stunning announcements.
"Tonight I officially announce my retirement from the WWE," said Cena in front of the Canadian crowd.
Upon hearing this announcement, the crowd was left stunned. Cena than explained what made Canada a special place for him to announce his retirement and highlighted why Money In The Bank 2024 was the perfect atmosphere to say his farewells.
Then he cited the pay-per-views that will be his last.
"The 2025 Royal Rumble will be my last, the 2025 Elimination Chamber will be my last, and I am here tonight to announce that in Las Vegas, WrestleMania 2025, will be the last WrestleMania that I'll compete in."
Eventually the crowd chanted: "Thank you Cena!'

What's next for John Cena?
The 47-year-old John Cena, who has made various appearances in Hollywood films, then narrated what will be the next phase in his career.
"It's not going to end at WrestleMania, WrestleMania will be my last WrestleMania, but hopefully if everything goes according to plan, we're going straight through from January to December," said Cena during a press conference.
"We're going try to do a long list of dates. I think right now, it's tentatively hovering in the mid-30s to 40s because I'm still going to try juggling a lot of stuff that's going on and that will be the end of my in-ring competition."
Yet despite his absence in performing moves inside the ring, Cena reflects that the WWE will forever remain in his heart.
"Part of this business plan that I propose, was me remaining in the WWE family in some capacity in an extended time to come. I've always said to the audience that the WWE is my home and I love it."
The 16-time world champion added: "And just because I physically feel that I'm at my end, it doesn't mean that I need to distance myself in something I love."
During his down sessions, Cena would watch and study the matches that took place and learning from them could hint on his new role with the organization.
"I have passion for this business, I still watch Money In The Bank, and yell at the scream and yell at the guys for what they're doing or what they could be doing so I feel like I have some wisdom locked up in here that could be of some value," Cena reflected.
"So I look forward to ending my participation in the ring, in the best way that I possibly can and being a member of the extended WWE family for quite some time."
Throughout his career, Cena has been considered to be one of the best pro wrestlers in the scene. His immense body strength (even lifting the likes of Big Show), and his creative mic skills have been his biggest assets in the industry.
