CHRIS Jericho stole the show in WWE Live Manila on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena not with his wrestling moves, but with his skills on the microphone.
Fans cheered as the long-time WWE superstar appeared for his match against Roman Reigns. But the cheers began to turn into jeers when he held the microphone, as Jericho mouthed off his tirade towards the Filipino fans.
“Shut your mouth now,” he said.
“I haven’t been here for eight years. The Philippines stinks and Manila is an anus,” added Jericho, who surprisingly drew more cheers from the crowd.
As soon as Jericho made the statements, several chants including ‘Duterte’ roared from the Mall of Asia Arena crowd. He also heard some remarks that he thought were compliments, which turned into a laughing matter for the fans.
"Did you say g*go?” Jericho asked. “It must be a good thing. I guess I'm the biggest g*go you have ever seen.”
Chants of ‘Let's go g*go’ then rang the building after his statements during the match where he lost to Reigns. But Jericho definitely brought the house down for the Filipino fans on Friday night.
