BIG SHOW says he wants a free throw shooting contest against Shaquille O’Neal, while reiterating his challenge to the retired NBA superstar to a match at Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando.
The pro wrestler said he is looking forward to a Wrestlemania match next year against O’Neal in Orlando, where the basketball star resides.
“Wrestlemania, Orlando,” Big Show said. “We got a match at Wrestlemania, we’ll see,” Big Show told Filipino reporters.
Big Show issued the challenge to O’Neal during the recent ESPYs and the retired NBA superstar accepted. WWE, however, has not stated whether the match will indeed happen.
“We are going to start off with a free throw shooting contest. I used to shoot 90 percent from the line,” said Big Show, in the country to promote the upcoming WWE Live Manila event on September 9 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Big Show later recanted the statement, adding he needs to practice before challenging O’Neal to the contest.
“I haven’t shoot a free throw in a long time. I might want to work on that before I talk trash,” said Big Show, drawing laughs from reporters.
Big Show and O’Neal had a face-off in 2009 and got reacquainted in Wrestlemania 32 in another face-off during the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale.
