BEFORE her Southeast Asian Games title defense, Vanessa Sarno is set to compete in the 2023 Asian Weightlifting Championships from May 3 to 13 in Jinju, South Korea.

The 19-year old will be looking to replicate her performance in the Asian Championship form two years ago where she captured two gold and one silver medal in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

She then proceeds to Phnom Penh, Cambodia where she will look to win her second straight gold medal in the 71kg division of the SEA Games weightlifting tilt which will be held from May 13 to 16 at the Taekwondo Hall Olympic Complex.
