PHOENIX Petroleum Philippines has thrown its support behind the Olympic bid of Hidilyn Diaz through a sponsorship deal worth P2 million.

The memorandum of agreement was formally signed on Thursday at the Malacañang Palace with Phoenix Petroleum vice-president Raymond Zorilla and Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman William Ramirez.

PSC chairman William Ramirez said the partnership was achieved through the initiative of Sen. Bong Go, who approached Phoenix Petroleum Philippines founder and owner Dennis Uy.
