VIETNAM defeated the Philippines, 19-25, 27-25, 29-31, 14-25, on Saturday in Leg 2 of the Southeast Asia V.League in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The Vietnamese, back-to-back silver medalists, dealt the Filipinas their fifth loss in as many matches.

The Philippine team, featuring Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, Vange Alinsug, Chams Maaya and Niña Ytang, seeks to close out its stint on a winning note when it takes on Indonesia on Sunday at 4 p.m.
