ONE of Philippine volleyball’s most recognizable names will enter the national team scene.
Veteran winger Ara Galang has earned a call-up to the expanded Alas Pilipinas Women pool ahead of the 2026 AVC Women’s Cup in Candon City from June 6 to 14.
Interim head coach Shaq Delos Santos confirmed Galang’s inclusion to SPIN.ph on Monday.
“Yes, nagte-training na po siya [Ara],” Delos Santos said.
At 31 years old, Galang brings a wealth of experience and leadership to an Alas Women side currently undergoing a major roster reshuffle following multiple withdrawals and player unavailabilities leading up to the regional tournament.
