FINALS-bound Systema Tooth and Gum Care did some light workout before its showdown with Instituto Estetico Manila, making short work of also-ran Rizal Technological University, 25-14, 25-19, 25-22, on Tuesday in the Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

Christopher Antonio and John Depante combined for 25 points for the Active Smashers, who along with the IEM Volley Masters had set up a title showdown with several matches to spare.

Systema and IEM are still scheduled to play the final elimination-round match on Sunday before their title showdown.

The Active Smashers needed just an hour and 20 minutes to record its fourth straight win after losing its opening match to IEM. The Active Smashers and Volley Masters now both hold 4-1 cards.

“’Yung game namin sa RTU ginawa na naming training para sa darating na Finals,” said Systema assistant coach Jhay R Libay, who took over as head coach Arnold Laniog handled the College of St. Benilde men's volleyball team in the UniGames in Iloilo.

Systema had 10 blocks against six by RTU and had more service aces (6-1).

“Advantage na kami sa height so ’yung mga kakulangan namin sa receive ’yun na lang ang pina-practice namin,” said Libay.

“Pag may magandang receive may magandang set play, tapos makakapuntos kami agad kasi automatic nga height advantage namin.”

Abdul Majid Jaidal finished with 11 points for RTU, which ended the tournament with a 1-5 slate.
