CARLA Sandoval was reduced into a spectator in University of Santo Tomas' 16-25, 23-25, 25-22, 14-25 loss to Pocari in the Shakey's V-League Season 13 Reinforced Conference on Wednesday.

Instrumental in UST's resurgence in the conference, Sandoval suffered a franctured pinky in her right hand during their semifinal game against Adamson in the Unigames last weekend.

The injury came at the most unfortunate time for the Tigresses as Sandoval is now in danger of missing a crucial game against the Lady Warriors in the penultimate stage which starts on Saturday.

"Hindi po sure e (kung makakabalik sa Saturda) kasi may examination pa po (sa injury)," she told "Siguro mga one week, or pinakamatagal po one month."

Sandoval bared she couldn't help but wish she could hop on the court and save UST from the jaws of defeat in the match against Pocari Sweat.

Still, the charming spiker remained positive.

"Pero kaya yan," said Sandoval, beaming with optimism. "Sayang yung opportunity tsaka yung matutulong ko pa sa team."
