BALIPURE may have cruised to an easy win over Air Force but Water Defenders coach Roger Gorayeb was wary that his wards may be spent with a hectic schedule ahead in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.

The veteran mentor and his team saw action on Saturday against Philippine Air Force, which they defeated, 25-17, 25-12, 25-17, and will immediately get back on court on Sunday against Perlas.

PVL has released an updated schedule on May 17 adding a Sunday playdate, which got Gorayeb concerned as the Water Defenders came off a grueling week.

Before a frustrating five-setter loss to Pocari Sweat on Thursday, BaliPure defeated Creamline on Tuesday and lost to Perlas last Saturday.

Sabi ko nga patayin niyo na lang kaya kami, anong kasalanan ko sa inyo?” said Gorayeb in jest as BaliPure will face Creamline on Tuesday and Power Smashers on Thursday.

“Ako as a coach, kailangan sundin lang (ang schedule).

The former national team coach, though, understood why their schedule is hectic as they have to catch up with other teams in playing as many games on or before the expiration of the International Transfer Certificate extension on June 15.

BaliPure will play the curtain raiser against Perlas on Sunday at the PhilSports Arena at 4:00 p.m.
