Pocari Sweat stuns Bureau of Customs in straight sets to stretch win streak to three
Pocari Sweat cruised to their third straight win after sweeping Bureau of Customs. Dante Peralta

POCARI Sweat hardly had a tough time in stunning fellow fancied team Bureau of Customs, 25-22, 25-22, 25-14, in the Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Saturday.

Breanna Mackie punched in 14 points to lead the Lady Warriors to their third straight win to tie Bali Pure at second spot with identical 3-1 win-loss records.

Myla Pablo and Michele Gumabao added 11 and eight points, respectively.

"Happy kami sa turnout ng laro, nagje-jell na yung team namin," said Pocari coach Rommel Abella.

"Mga 85 percent na yung pagje-jell ng team kaya happy ako sa effort nila," he added.

Abella was also pleased with his team's defense, especially in the second frame, where they turned a 20-15 deficit into a 22-20 lead and went on to win the frame, 25-22, before limiting the Transformers to only 14 points in the third set.

The Transformers dropped to 3-2, despite Alyssa Valdez finishing with a game-high 18 points.

Valdez had little help from his teammates as only import Kanjana Kuthaisong finished in double figures with 10 markers.
