DEFENDING champion Pocari Sweat hopes to keep its winning streak when it kicks off its campaign in the Premier Volleyball League on April 30.

The Lady Warriors ruled last year's Reinforced Conference and Open Conference disposing Bureau of Customs and Air Force, respectively.

After an off season recruitment coup, veteran Myla Pablo is confident that the team will play as one cohesive unit.

"We'll try to get the championship again even though marami kming bago pero maganda naman 'yung samahan namin ngayon," said Pablo.

Pocari Sweat tapped former Ateneo star Fille Cainglet-Cayetano and University of Santo Tomas alum Jessey de Leon to fill in the void left by Michele Gumabao.

Meanwhile imports Edina Selimovic from Slovenia and Michelle Strizak from the United States will beef up the powerhouse team.

"'Yung mga import namin magagaling so sana maganda 'yung simula namin hanggang sa huli," said Pablo.

"Okay naman 'yung team building masaya and everybody is excited this coming season," she added.

Hoping to dethrone Pocari Sweat are BaliPure, Creamline, Perlas Lady Spikers, Air Force and Iriga.
