POCARI Sweat continued in beefing up its roster to replicate its conquest of  the Open and Reinforced Conferences in the V-League last year after signing former College of St. Benilde standout Jeanette Panaga.

The former NCAA Finals MVP will join the already formidable Lady Warriors lineup led by Myla Pablo, Elaine Kasilag, Desiree Dadang and libero Melissa Gohing in their campaign in the V-League Season 14 Reinforced Conference on April.

Prior to Panaga’s recruitment, Pocari Sweat also got former Ateneo star Fille Cainglet-Cayetano and University of Santo Tomas alum Jessey de Leon.

“About joining Pocari, I decided to join them kasi una, noon pa lang kinakausap na nila ako, even my family, and they have really shown so much interest and sincerity sa pagkuha sa akin,” said Panaga.

Coming from a decorated collegiate career, Panaga is happy to join a champion team in Pocari Sweat.

“That's one thing that made me decide also to join them. They are a champion team,” said the former NCAA champion and Finals MVP. “And gusto ko masama sa team na champion, hindi lang sa skills, pero ‘yung champion sa puso talaga. And maganda kasi ‘yung nakikita kong character ng team kapag pinapanood ko sila. So I want to be a part of that.”

The 22-year old middle blocker also felt immediately at home with her new team.

She was reunited with Pablo and Gohing, whom she teamed up when they suited up for the AVC Asian Women’s Seniors Volleyball Championship in China in 2015.

“’Yung mga magiging teammates ko dun nakasama ko na din ‘yung iba, before sa AVC so magaan din, on my part, na di ako total stranger sa pupuntahan kong team,” she said.
