PLDT Home Telpad bounced back to form quickly after a stunning loss, making short work of National University, 25-13, 25-20, 25-19, on Thursday in the resumption of the quarterfinals of Shakey's V-League Season 11 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

Lou Ann Latigay came up with 17 points, Sue Roces added 15 and Angela Benting had 10 markers for the Power Attackers, who only needed 72 minutes to finish the match.

The Power Attackers looked much different from the side that was shut out by a young Ateneo squad on Sunday, as they took control of the match right from the start and never wavered.

The Power Attackers improved their win-loss record to 5-2, while the Lady Bulldogs hold a 1-5 mark.

The six-team semifinals is a single round robin affair.

“At least nakabawi kami sa disappointing na talo namin noong nakaraan (sa Ateneo) sana magtuluy-tuloy na 'tong panalo,” said Power Attackers mentor Roger Gorayeb.

The Power Attackers got two points from new pre-tournament acquisition Royce Estampa, whose stint with AirAsia in the Philippine Super Liga ended last week. yet to suit up for PLDT are Abi Marano, Dindin Santiago and Mina Aganon, who also played in the PSL.

“Nag-commit naman sila sa akin na maglalaro dito, ang sabi nila tatapusin muna nila ’yung doon sa kabila pero hanggang ngayon wala pa,” said Gorayeb.

Jaja Santiago made 15 points and Myla Pablo chipped in 12 for the Lady Bulldogs, who absorbed their third consecutive loss dating back to the elimination round.
