PETRO Gazz hopes to extend its winning run when it faces PayMaya in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.

Game time is at 6:30 p.m.

Coming from three consecutive losses, the Angels are now on a roll winning three straight outings, tied with defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force and Tacloban at the No. 3 spot with a 3-3 win-loss record.

“Nakikita mo ang eagerness nila, gustung-gusto manalo every game,” said Petro Gazz veteran Wensh Tiu.

“Mahirap na talo kami kasi ‘yung morale down na down so noong nanalo naging confident na, na kaya pala sunud-sunod na panalo,” she added.

Petro Gazz will rely on Ukranian imports Olena Lymareva-Flink and Anastasiia Trach.

In their straight-set victory over Pocari weat-Air Force on Wednesday, Lymareva-Flink scored a game-high 30 points, while Trach made 17 markers, 17 digs and 18 excellent.

PayMaya, on the other hand, will try bag its fourth win in six outings and inch closer to the outright semis berth.

The High Flyers, who came from a tough loss to BanKo Perlas, 25-18, 25-18, 19-25, 22-25, 11-15, a week ago, hope to avoid another meltdown.

American spiker Tess Rountree will lead PayMaya anew, while locals Jerilli Malabanan and Celine Domingo will provide the support that the prolific import needs.
