PAYMAYA coach Roger Gorayeb is bracing for a tough set of back-to-back games this weekend in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference in Tuguegarao.

The High Flyers will face defending champion Pocari Sweat on Saturday followed by a Sunday match against crowd favorite Creamline at the People’s Gym.

“Dalawang magkasunod, ‘yun din ang concern ko. Sabi ko rin sa kanila, playing two games in a row tapos ang init pa sa Tugegarao so sabi ko hindi ano eh, hindi player friendly,” said the veteran mentor.

But the multi-titled coach stressed that despite the tight schedule, they will go all out.

“Doon kasi alam naman natin ang temperature, tapos maglalaro ka dalawang sunod na araw but andito kami we just have to follow,” he said.

Former San Sebastian College star and three-time MVP Grethcel Soltones and American imports Shelby Sullivan and Tess Rountree are expected to lead PayMaya in its 2:00 p.m. match against Pocari Sweat.

PayMaya started the conference with a straight-set victory over Tacloban, 25-8, 33-31, 25-20, and is currently tied with Creamline and Iriga-Navy with a 1-0 win-loss record.
