Qatar, European exhibition matches force Alyssa Valdez to miss V-League opening

ALYSSA Valdez is set to miss the opening ceremony of the Open Conference of the 13th Season of the Shakey’s V-League on Sunday.

The former Ateneo star, who is set to play for Bali Pure in the V-League, flew to Doha, Qatar on Thursday night with fellow Bali Pure players Denden Lazaro and Amy Ahomiro for a friendly match before proceeding to a European for similar exhibition matches.

Valdez and Co. will have an exhibition match for overseas Filipino workers in Doha then on the 23rd will fly to Europe where they are expected to stay until the first week of June.

“I’m gonna leave May 19 to 21 or 22 ata to go to Doha, Qatar and then flight ko (May) 23rd to Europe,” said Valdez.

“We’re gonna go to London and then Paris then Italy. Five days sa London, next Paris and then ‘yung the rest ng (tour) hanggang June 6 eh,” she added.
