BALIPURE setter Jasmine Nabor delivered the biggest shot of the match - and it wasn't even an excellent set.

Nabor followed up a crosscourt hit by Gretchel Soltones with a drop that sealed a 25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 26-24 win over Pocari Sweat and BaliPure's first league title in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

It was her finest moment yet, and she savored every second of it.

"Syempre sobrang saya. Sobrang sarap sa feeling kasi ito 'yung first time ko maglaro sa commercial league," said the soft-spoken setter. "Yung mga sacrifice and paghihirap namin every training, every game, parang lumabas lahat kanina."

Nabor has shown shades of her idol and former Ateneo star Jia Morado as she scored eight points and dished out 40 excellent sets in Wednesday's match.

But as much as she admires Morado, the National University stalwart insisted she wants to make a name for herself.

"Sa ngayon po, syempre gusto kong gumawa ng pangalan ko. I mean, gusto ko Jasmine Nabor naman ganun, hindi na palaging Jia Morado," she said.

"Syempre alam ko na mas lamang siya sakin so parang siya yung nagiging inspiration ko sa lahat."

She will have a chance to do that when she plays for her alma mater in the UAAP this season.

"Paghahandaan ko naman po yung team ko talaga sa NU," she said.
