Flu no excuse for Jaja Santiago, says she could've done better in NU match vs Ateneo

NATIONAL University skipper Jaja Santiago offered no excuses as the Lady Bulldogs bowed to the Ateneo Lady Eagles in the V-League Collegiate Conference.

Santiago played even as she battled flu, while two liberos were also ill, but the NU skipper insists they could have done a better job.

They lost in straight sets.

Santiago finished with 11 points in the Lady Bulldogs’ first defeat in four games.

Michelle Morente scored 20 points for Ateneo, but more than the Lady eagles skipper’s dominance dominance, Santiago felt lapses on defense cost them.

“Nagkulang kami sa komunikasyon and defense.
