Creamline rides Alyssa Valdez heroics, beats Air Force for maiden PVL victory

CREAMLINE booked its first win in the Premier Volleyball League at the expense of Philippine Air Force, 25-23, 25-16, 25-22, at The Arena in San Juan on Thursday.

The Cool Smashers leaned on the all-around brilliance of Alyssa Valdez, who had an 21 points, from 18 attacks and three aces while coming up with 11 digs and four excellent receptions.

Ivy Remulla added 10 points for Creamline, which, after committing 46 errors in its league debut in a loss to Perlas, limited its mistakes to just 20 this time.

“Siguro mas maganda ‘yung service receive namin ngayon. Siyempre may halong, 'di maiiwasan, may swerte din kahit papaano,” said Creamline assistant coach Sherwin Meneses.

Jocemer Tapic made 11 points for PAF while May Ann Pantino and Angel Antipuesto scored nine and eight points, respectively.

The Jet Spikers dropped to 1-2 card.
