Charo Soriano, beach volley proponents return to indoor play in rebranded V-League
Beach Volley Republic founder Charo Soriano, also a veteran coach and player in indoor volleyball, joins the V-League.

THE Beach Volleyball Republic takes its act indoor as it forms a team in the Premier Volleyball League, formerly the Shakey’s V-League, which opens on April 30 at The Arena in San Juan.

Charo Soriano is expected to be joined by fellow BVR players and co-founders Dzi Gervacio and Bea Tan.

University of the Philippines coach Jerry Yee said he was tasked to mentor the squad but for only a month as he is still busy with the Lady Maroons’ campaign in the UAAP.

Yee said it will be up to his players if they want to join the BVR squad in the V-League.

“I gave my senior players the freedom to choose the team they are playing for after the UAAP. It’s up to them,” said Yee.

The BVR squad joins the cast of teams in the season-opening Reinforced Conference that includes the reigning champion Pocari Sweat, Air Force, Bali Pure, and Creamline, which will have Alyssa Valdez in the fold.
