Aiza Maizo caps dominant showing by bagging MVP title of Shakey's V-League

AIZA Maizo run away with the Most Valuable Player award of the Shakey's V-League Season 11 Foreign Reinforced Conference during the simple awarding ceremony that preceded the best-of-three Finals between Philippine Army and Cagayan Valley at The Arena in San Juan on Sunday.

Other than the MVP plum, the Cagayan Valley spiker also bagged the best scorer award, while fellow Lady Rising Suns Chie Saet and Bhebs Pineda were named best server and best receiver, respectively.

Philippine Army's Jovelyn Gonzaga was the best attacker, Aby Maraño of Meralco the best blocker, and PLDT's Rubie de Leon and Lizlee Gata-Pantone were the best setter and best digger, respectively.

Jeffrey Jimenez made history as he won the maiden MVP title in the men’s side.

Jimenez, the lanky Instituto Estetico Manila player, was also adjudged the best spiker, while teammate Renz Ordoñez was the best setter.

The Far Eastern University duo of Rikko Marmeto and Joshua Barrica emerged as the best receiver and best server, respectively.

Rounding up the honor roll list were Rocky Honrade of Systema (best blocker) and John Depante also from Systema (best scorer).
