Mindanao State University drubbed University of Baguio, 21-17, 21-11, early morning but was no match against University of Mindanao-Tagum, 19-21, 21-23, in the afternoon.
Before its loss to USPF, HCDC booked its first win, a 21-13, 21-11, domination of Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas.
