Kungfu Reyes expects EJ Laure return next season, says Eya has committed to UST Tigresses

Eya Laure, who has seen action for UST in a commercial league, is set to see action in the UAAP women's volleyball tournament. 

UNIVERSITY of Sto. Tomas coach Kungfu Reyes said he expects the have EJ Laure back for their next campaign, while her sister Eya has committed to play for the Tigresses in the UAAP.

The Tigresses ended its stint with a loss, bowing to Adamson in straight sets to finish with a 4-10 win-loss record for seventh spot.

“Babalik naman 'yun (EJ) once everything okay na. Si Eya nandoon na (committed na),” said Reyes, adding that several recruits have also committed to UST.

“Siyempre, may mga nagconfirm from other schools na gustong pumunta sa amin without asking for anything, talagang gusto lang mag-aral sa UST,” he said.

All players will have to fight for spots in the team for next season, says Reyes.

“Talagang makikipagpatayan next year, makikipagpatayan para sa mga slot sa team,” he said. “Kumbaga, you have to defend your territory if you want to stay on the team.”

“Total revamp itong mangyayari para ma-entertain namin 'yung mga freshman namin. Magkaka-tryout for everyone for their respective positions,” he continued.
