    UE Junior Warriors score twin wins to keep record unblemished after seven matches in UAAP volleyball

    DEFENDING champion University of the East continue to steamroll the opposition, posting straight sets victories in the UAAP Season 77 boys volleyball tournament over the weekend at the Adamson Gym.

    The Junior Warriors overwhelmed National University in a rematch of last season's championship, 25-17, 25-22, 25-11, on Saturday then defeated University of Santo Tomas, 25-9, 25-17, 25-22, Sunday to remain unbeaten in five matches.

    The Bullpups rebounded back from their loss to UE with a 21-25, 27-25, 25-22, 27-25 win over Ateneo to improve to 4-1 in second place.

    The Tiger Cubs beat UP Integrated School, 25-9, 25-17, 25-20, while the Blue Eaglets downed Far Eastern University-Diliman, 25-12, 25-16, 25-20. UST and Ateneo are tied for third spot at 3-4.

    In the lone five-set match over the weekend, the Baby Tamaraws overcame La Salle-Zobel's uprising to fashion out a 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 24-26, 15-9 win.

    In girls’ play, NU downed titleholder UST in their Season 75 Finals rematch, 25-19, 25-16, 25-23, on Saturday to remain unbeaten in four starts.

    UE defeated UPIS, 25-21, 25-15, 25-14, while La Salle-Zobel whipped FEU-Diliman, 25-7, 25-15, 25-10.
