COACH Francis Vicente said he did not see the drive and the aggressiveness from University of the East, which simply bowed to University of Sto. Tomas in three quick sets.
It was in stark contrast to the fight they showed in a five set battle with University of the Philippines to five sets, noted Vicente.
“Umpisa pa lang kailangan nang pumukpok eh. Di ko alam kung ano nangyari,” he said.
“Dapat mas inspired (sila) sa nangyari noong first game, pero ngayon, para kaming, sabihin na natin hindi pinag-aralan yung kalaban eh,” he added.
Vicente is convinced the Lady Warriors will bounce back, although have a tough assignment on Sunday against unbeaten National University.
“Siguro, we just (need) learn from this game, ‘yun nga lagi kong sabi, ‘di basta inaabot ang game sa isang team, kailangan pagtrabahuhin mo ‘yun eh,” he said.
“Kaialangan talagang ‘yung midset mo talaga na pagpasok mo sa loob, ibigay mo lahat,” he added.
“Na makagawa ng puntos, pag-apak gagawin ang lahat, ‘yung mga pina-practice nila, dapat ganoon eh.”
