YOU can take Bella Belen out of National U, but you cannot take National U out of Bella Belen.
Lady Bulldogs legend Belen showed up in the two-time defending champions' training session on Thursday, just a day after their Game 1 loss to La Salle in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball finals.

With NU now backed against the wall, Belen made what could be her most timely visit yet, continuing her personal initiative this year of dropping by practices throughout the season.

Fresh from a quick Singapore trip with fellow Capital1 players Pia Abbu, Leila Cruz, and Pauline Gaston, Jhocson's lone player with a retired jersey wasted little time before heading straight to her alma mater.
And knowing exactly what it feels like to face elimination against the Lady Spikers in the finals, the three-time MVP appeared determined to inject life back into the Lady Bulldogs.
“Okay na, napaulanan ko na ng staredown at pasarela. Lalarga na ‘to,” Belen posted on her Instagram channel alongside clips from practice.
Back in Season 85, Belen was at the losing end of a dominant La Salle side which dethroned National U.
Now, these Lady Bulldogs find themselves in the same situation, heading into Saturday’s Game 2 in do-or-die mode, as they try to keep their three-peat bid alive against the Lady Spikers seeking both a perfect run and their first title in three seasons.
