This is on top of an evenly-distributed scoring load from UST’s ace spikers in rookie hotshot Angeline Poyos (16 points), Reg Jurado (12 points), and Jonna Perdido (12 points).

Poyos, the Tigresses' super rookie, was the top scorer for UST in a commanding debut. However, she was far from satisfied with her performance and hopes that UST's season will continue to improve from here on out.
"‘Yun nga, first UAAP game, andun pa rin ‘yung pressure, nangangapa. Pero for me, hindi ako satisfied sa nilaro ko ngayon and I know sa sarili ko na makakabawi ako and makaka-adjust ako sa mga susunod pang games," said Poyos.
