The Golden Tigresses roared past vs. Far Eastern University, 16-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-16, to claim the fourth and final slot in the stepladder playoffs of the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament, Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
In doing so, they slammed the door on the Lady Tamaraws' bid for a third straight postseason appearance, while extending their own run to six consecutive Final Four berths.
On a more personal note, the black-and-gold granted skipper Detdet Pepito's two wishes - the first being an extension to her collegiate career and the second being a win in her last game against the green-and-gold.
The climb only gets steeper for UST from here, however.
The Golden Tigresses now turn their focus to Adamson in the first rung of the stepladder, with the winner there then getting to challenge two-time defending champion National U for a finals berth against La Salle.
