KASSY Doering has her sights set on the PVL at the conclusion of her one-and-done stint in UAAP Season 87 with the University of the Philippines.

The six-foot middle blocker shared how turning pro in the Philippines has always been her goal once her time with State U comes to an end.
“I do plan to go pro here in the Philippines,” Doering told SPIN.ph.
“When and how that's gonna work, still figuring that out.”

Doering’s numbers may not be spectacular so far, norming 6.92 points and 1.67 blocks in 12 elimination round matches, but she has been nothing short of instrumental in the Fighting Maroons' unlikely playoff push.
The California State University San Marcos alumna dished out 15 points built on 12 attacks and three blocks in UP’s 26-24, 18-25, 19-25, 25-22, 16-14 stunner of perennial powerhouse La Salle to keep its Final Four dream alive.

Once league action resumes ater the Holy Week break, a pair of wins over University of Santo Tomas and Adamson can at least hand the maroon-and-gren a chance to fight for a semis spot either through a playoff or a statistical tiebreak in a triple-tie scenario.
The future begins now
Whether the dream run ends in the top four or just a spot short, Doering beamed with pride at how far the young UP has come in such short a time.
“I always knew they had it in them. It just took the right people and right coaches to bring the puzzle together. I knew they always had it in them and I'm grateful to finally see that happen,” Doering said.

Come season’s end, the waiting game will begin on where and how Doering’s next career stop will play out.
As she put it, “As of now, I just know that I'm wanting to play pro here, but we will see how that happens.”
